Power Up for Justice Episode 2:

Protecting Sacred Land at La Sal Protest Against Uranium Mine

Indigenous groups and allies gathered at La Sal Junction in southern Utah, just outside of Moab, to raise public awareness and to protest Energy Fuels Resources’ La Sal uranium mines. Energy Fuels, a Canadian company, disposes of radioactive uranium at the White Mesa uranium mill, located outside of Blanding, Utah next to the White Mesa Ute reservation. Greenaction’s founder, Bradley Angel, and Environmental Justice Organizer, Keeley Joe, bring us to the front lines of this public awareness protest and interview people closest to the battle. Watch this video to understand what is at stake for Indigenous communities and allies impacted by the uranium fuel chain. Come out and support the WMCC at the 10th annual Spiritual Walk and Protest October, 17th at White Mesa, just outside of Blanding, Utah. See our website for more information. Thank you to our partners and allies for fighting for a better future.
