Greenaction has a long history of organizing and campaigning against PG&E since we were founded in late 1997. We were a leader in the fight that closed the PG&E Hunters Point fossil fuel power plant, and have watchdogged their ongoing cleanup of the contaminated site there. We led the fight that defeated PG&E’s plans in 2000 to bring a fossil fuel power plant on a barge to operate in Bayview Hunters Point. We worked with Native Nations along the Colorado River in the Mojave Desert to defeat plans by the nuclear industry (including PG&E) to build a nuclear waste dump in Ward Valley.
