Bayview Hunters Point Residents, Community & Environmental Justice Groups to Call on City Officials to Support Community Demands for Comprehensive Retesting & Cleanup of Radioactive and Toxic Contamination at Hunters Point Shipyard Superfund Site, Parcel A, and Adjacent Areas
PRESS CONFERENCE AND PROTEST:
TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 17, 2019   1 PM
POLK STREET SIDE OF SAN FRANCISCO CITY HALL

San Francisco, CA – Bayview Hunters Point residents, community and environmental justice groups will bring their demands for comprehensive retesting and full cleanup of the Hunters Point Shipyard Superfund Site and adjacent areas to the steps of City Hall on Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at 1 pm.

The press conference and protest will demand that the Mayor, Board of Supervisors, Health Department and other city/county agencies actively support the community demands for proper retesting and cleanup with full community oversight. Up until now, the City/County officials have supported only partial and inadequate testing such as what happened at Parcel A, where residents had falsely been assured there was no contamination present.
